Tennessee Dem Expelled After Storming Capitol is Already Reinstated: Marches Triumphantly Through the Streets

Tennessee state Representative Justin Jones, one of a pair of Democrats expelled after taking part in gun control protests by storming the state Capitol and taking control of official proceedings, has already been reinstated to the House.

He was not labeled an insurrectionist by the media. He did not spend months in prison awaiting a trial of his peers. He was not sentenced for his actions.

Instead, the Nashville Metropolitan Council voted to return him to his post, with all 36 members voting unanimously for his reinstatement.

Jones was seen on video during a legislative session holding a megaphone, interrupting the democratic process, and instigating protestors into chanting and yelling at his fellow lawmakers.

Jones then went to every media outlet he could to cry about racism and even compared his expulsion to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on Easter, and suggested his reinstatement would be akin to the Reconstruction.

Rep. Justin Pearson, a fellow former Democrat lawmaker, was also ousted last week from the Republican-led Tennessee House, but will likely receive a vote to reinstate on Wednesday.

Tennessee Dem Justin Jones Reinstated

In a comical display of Justin Jones’ apparent inflated self-worth, he locked arms with protesters and marched through the streets back to the Tennessee State Capitol building.

He clearly fancies himself some sort of civil rights hero.

Further cementing his delusion, Jones entered the chamber locking arms with State Rep. Gloria Johnson who took part in the protests as well, but who escaped being expelled by one vote.

Johnson and the Democrats contended the vote was racist because she is white, while both Jones and Pearson are not.

Jones and Johnson slowly marched down the aisle as the former raised a clenched fist of defiance skyward, a hero in his own mind.

Jones and his supporters were heard singing the civil-rights anthem, “This Little Light of Mine,” as he entered the Capitol building at which he conducted his insurrectionist actions not that long ago.

Jones Says He is Democracy

Justin Jones delivered an impassioned if not completely ignorant speech upon his return, celebrating the return of democracy, which he believes he represents, without acknowledging the fact that he attempted to illegally interrupt democratic proceedings in the chamber just days earlier.

“I want to welcome democracy back to the people’s house,” Jones said in his speech.

“I want to thank you all, not for what you did, but for awakening the people of this state, particularly the young people,” he added. “Thank you for reminding us that the struggle for justice is fought and won in every generation.”

“Today we’re sending a resounding message that democracy will not be killed in the comfort of silence,” Justin Jones said at the state Capitol.

Jones is yet another example that, so long as your name has the letter ‘D’ next to it, you’ll never have to face consequences for your actions.
