These movies set the tone for a perfect Christmas

The Christmas season is finally here, and you know what that means; time to cosy up with your favourite snacks, twinkling lights, and heartwarming stories that bring the festive spirit alive.

Classic Hollywood Christmas movies like Home Alone and The Grinch have a special place in our hearts. Nollywood is where the yuletide cheer comes with a unique cultural twist.

Both industries have been delivering films that celebrate the holiday spirit in ways that feel fresh, vibrant, and oh-so-relatable.

Think family reunions filled with drama and love, Christmas weddings with unexpected twists, and “Detty December” moments in Lagos that are as chaotic as they are joyous.

These movies capture everything we love about the season from the laughter and the tears to the inevitable reminder that family, hope, and good food are what truly matter.

This list is your go-to guide for all the films (Hollywood and Nollywood) that set the perfect tone for Christmas.
