‘They’re overrated’ – Christophe Dugarry defends Mbappe, calls out five Real Madrid players

Former French International Defends Kylian Mbappé Amid Real Madrid Struggles

Christophe Dugarry, a former French international, has publicly supported Kylian Mbappé, asserting that the forward is not to blame for Real Madrid’s ongoing difficulties.

In a recent episode of Jérôme Rothen’s podcast, Dugarry shifted the focus from Mbappé to several players on the team, labeling Edouardo Camavinga, Arda Güler, Federico Valverde, Marco Asensio, and Aurelien Tchouaméni as overrated and lacking the necessary qualities for a club of Real Madrid’s stature.

“It’s surprising to hear that all of Real Madrid’s problems are solely on Kylian Mbappé,” Dugarry remarked. He suggested that if the club no longer desires Mbappé, it may be time to consider a transfer.

Dugarry continued by emphasizing that many players on the squad do not meet the expectations of being part of such a prestigious team. “They’ve been there a long time. Camavinga, Güler, Valverde, Tchouaméni, and Asensio came out of nowhere to become starters,” he said, critiquing their performances.
