Tinubu appoints seven new executive directors for NTA

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the appointment of seven new executive directors to lead the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), as part of his ongoing efforts to reposition the country’s broadcast industry. 

 

The announcement was made in a statement on Friday, September 27, by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

 

Among the appointees, Ayo Adewuyi has been reappointed as Executive Director, News, while Bar. Ibrahim Aliyu will oversee Special Duties as the Executive Director. The list of new executive directors also includes Malam Muhammed Fatuhu Mustapha, who will serve as Executive Director of Administration and Training, and Mrs Apinke Effiong, who has been appointed Executive Director of Finance.

 

Additionally, Mrs Tari Taylaur takes on the role of Executive Director of the programme; Mr Sadique Musa Omeiza becomes Executive Director of Engineering; and Mrs Oluwakemi Fashina is appointed Executive Director of Marketing.

 

Mrs. Effiong brings a wealth of experience in financial marketing, treasury management, accounting, and reporting to her new role. Mrs. Taylaur is recognized as an accomplished audio/visual creator, producer, and showrunner, while Mrs. Fashina is a seasoned integrated marketing communications professional and a chartered marketer.

 

These appointments are anticipated to infuse the NTA with fresh ideas and expertise, fostering growth and development within Nigeria’s broadcast sector. The statement confirmed that the appointments take immediate effect.
