Transfer: Atletico Madrid fans excited with Lookman’s signing – La Liga expert
Ademola Lookman has officially joined Atletico Madrid on a permanent transfer from Serie A club Atalanta, the Spanish club announced on Monday. The transfer fee is estimated at approximately €40 million.
The 28-year-old forward becomes the second Nigerian player to represent Atletico, following Muyiwa Lawal.
Phil Kitromilides, a La Liga expert, commented on the impact of Lookman’s signing, noting significant excitement in the city. “People are super excited about this transfer; it’s a little bit of star quality coming through to Atleti. It’s a really, really interesting signing,” Kitromilides said during an interview with CBS TV.
