Transfer: Raheem Sterling’s new club after leaving Chelsea confirmed

Raheem Sterling has signed with Feyenoord as a free agent following his departure from Chelsea Football Club.

The 31-year-old forward had his contract with Chelsea terminated in January, despite having two years remaining. He has now committed to a short-term deal with the Eredivisie team that runs until the end of the current season.

Feyenoord is currently positioned second in the league standings and is coached by former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.

“As a free agent, I’ve had, for the first time in a long time, the opportunity to control the next step,” Sterling said. He emphasized the importance of discussing his role with potential clubs and coaches to ensure he can contribute meaningfully in the next phase of his career.
