Transfer: Why Ademola Lookman didn’t join Osimhen at Galatasaray – Agent

Gardi Explains Lookman’s Move to Atletico Madrid Instead of Galatasaray
Italian football agent George Gardi has clarified the circumstances surrounding Ademola Lookman’s transfer to Atletico Madrid, which prevented him from joining compatriot Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray.
Galatasaray had expressed interest in acquiring Lookman from Atalanta during two consecutive transfer windows. Osimhen, who plays for Napoli, revealed that he had discussions with Lookman about the possibility of uniting at Galatasaray.
Ultimately, Lookman signed with Atletico Madrid in January. Gardi, who has facilitated significant transfers for Galatasaray, stated that Lookman could have joined Osimhen following a failed deal with Inter Milan. However, Atalanta declined to release Lookman.
“Especially with top-level players, sometimes transfers don’t fall through. There are endless variables,” Gardi told Tuttosport. He added that after Lookman’s initial deal with Inter fell through last summer, he sought to replicate the successful transfer of Osimhen.
“I proposed a loan with a purchase option, but his club didn’t want to let him go. I made another attempt in January, but this time the demands from the Bergamo club were too high,” Gardi explained.
