Trabzonspor Tops Fatih Karagumruk 3-1 Behind Nwaiwu and Onuachu
Trabzonspor secured a 3-1 victory over Fatih Karagumruk at Papara Park on Friday night, thanks to standout performances from Nigerian players Chibuike Nwaiwu and Paul Onuachu.
Onuachu opened the scoring for Trabzonspor in the 20th minute, marking his 18th goal of the league season. However, Fatih Karagumruk quickly equalized through Daniel Verde in the 26th minute.
The hosts regained the lead shortly after halftime when Nwaiwu scored just two minutes into the second half. Onuachu then assisted Nwaiwu, who netted his second goal of the match in the 50th minute, sealing the win for Trabzonspor.
This season, Nwaiwu has accumulated two goals and one assist across six league appearances for Trabzonspor. With this victory, the team remains in third place in the league, holding 48 points from 24 matches, four points behind Fenerbahçe, who have a game in hand.
