Turkey: Onuachu on track for new goals record
Paul Onuachu is on track to become Trabzonspor’s all-time top scorer in a single season of the Turkish Super Lig, according to the DAILY POST.
The Nigerian forward has netted 20 goals in 22 league appearances this season. If he scores six more goals before the season concludes, he will surpass the current record of 25 goals held by former Georgia international Shota Arveladze, who set the mark during the 1995-1996 season.
In addition, Norway international Alexander Sorloth ranks second on the list with 24 goals.
