Istanbul, Turkey – Victor Osimhen scored the lone goal on Saturday night as 10-man Galatasaray secured a 1-0 victory over city rivals Besiktas in the Istanbul derby.
Osimhen found the back of the net with a powerful header just six minutes before halftime. This season, the Nigerian striker has made a significant impact, tallying 11 goals and four assists in 18 league matches for the Yellow and Reds.
The 27-year-old played the entirety of the match. His international teammate, Wilfred Ndidi, was featured in the lineup for Besiktas, marking his 19th league appearance of the season for the Black Eagles.
