Two Injured in Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Truck Collision
LAGOS, Nigeria — Two individuals were injured in a collision between two trucks on the Arepo Bridge section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway early Sunday morning.
The accident, which occurred around 4 a.m., involved an empty American Cola truck and a Seaco truck. Eyewitness accounts indicate that one driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, while the second driver sustained minor injuries.
The incident led to significant traffic congestion along the busy thoroughfare. Officers from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) arrived on the scene to manage the situation and facilitate the removal of the obstructed vehicles.
One witness, Mrs. Ibukun Victoria, highlighted the severity of the injuries involved. Additionally, another motorist suggested that debris on the road may have contributed to the crash, though authorities have not confirmed this detail.
