UCL: Chelsea suffer major injury blow ahead of second leg clash with PSG

Chelsea FC is facing a significant setback ahead of their Champions League Round of 16 second leg against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday. Head coach Liam Rosenior confirmed during a pre-match press conference on Monday that captain Reece James will not participate due to injury.

James, an England international, is sidelined after sustaining a hamstring injury during Chelsea’s recent match against Newcastle United. Rosenior expressed disappointment over the situation, noting that the full extent of James’s injury remains unclear.

Chelsea enters the second leg trailing 5-2 after their defeat to PSG in the first match held in Paris last week. The absence of James will be a considerable challenge for Rosenior as his team seeks to overturn the deficit at Stamford Bridge.
