UCL: ‘He’s crucial’ – Capello suggests Juventus player to stop Osimhen in second leg

Juventus Looks to Make Strategic Adjustments Ahead of Champions League Clash

Turin, Italy — Former Real Madrid manager Fabio Capello emphasized the importance of defender Gleison Bremer’s return as Juventus prepares for their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg against Galatasaray. The match is scheduled for Wednesday at Allianz Stadium.

Juventus enters the fixture following a disappointing 5-2 defeat to Galatasaray in the first leg, held in Turkey last week. In that match, Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen delivered a standout performance, contributing two assists while goals from Yunus Akgün, Noa Lang, Davinson Sánchez, and Sacha Boey secured the Turkish side’s victory.

Capello believes that Bremer’s presence will be crucial in countering Osimhen’s threat, as well as that of teammate Barış Alper Yılmaz. Bremer was forced to exit the first leg after just 34 minutes due to injury.

“Bremer’s return is crucial,” Capello stated, as reported by La Gazzetta. “He is a vital factor against Osimhen and Barış Alper Yılmaz’s speed in open spaces. What happened after Bremer came off in the first match is clear; Barış Alper forced many yellow cards, and the defense struggled.”

Juventus will be looking to leverage Bremer’s defensive skills to turn the tide against Galatasaray and secure a spot in the next round of the tournament.
