Football commentator and Turkish journalist Haluk Yürekli has drawn a comparison between Galatasaray goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır and Nigerian international Victor Osimhen. This remark follows Galatasaray’s recent victory over Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.
Speaking on the 343 Digital YouTube channel, Yürekli praised Çakır’s performance, asserting that it was on par with that of Osimhen. He emphasized the importance of retaining the 29-year-old shot-stopper, urging the Turkish Super Lig champions not to entertain offers from English Premier League clubs.
“If I were the decision-maker at Galatasaray, I would not sell Çakır for €50 million, even to an English club,” Yürekli said.
Çakır will look to maintain his strong form as Galatasaray prepares for the return leg against Liverpool next week.
