UCL: Mourinho made huge mistake in Vinicius racist incident – Kompany

Bayern Munich Manager Criticizes Mourinho Over Vinicius Incident
Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has condemned Benfica coach José Mourinho for his comments regarding an alleged racist incident involving Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior.
The incident occurred during a Champions League play-off earlier this week when Vinicius accused Benfica’s Gianluca Prestianni of racially abusing him after scoring the match’s only goal.
Following the game, Mourinho suggested that Vinicius provoked the home fans with his celebration. However, Kompany disagreed with this assessment. Speaking to the media on Thursday, he stated, “You have the leader of an organization, José Mourinho, who attacks the character of Vinicius Jr by bringing in the type of celebration to discredit what Vinicius is doing in this moment. In terms of leadership, it’s a huge mistake and something we should not accept.”
Kompany’s remarks highlight the ongoing discussions about racism in football and the responsibilities of coaches in addressing such issues.
