Galatasaray Advances in Champions League After Defeating Juventus
Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen secured a crucial goal for his team, leading them to a 6-5 aggregate victory over Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Turkish champions entered the second leg in Turin with a solid 5-2 advantage from the first match. However, it was Juventus that seized control early in the game.
Manuel Locatelli converted a penalty in the 37th minute to put the hosts ahead, followed by Federico Gatti’s goal in the 70th minute, which extended Juventus’ lead. A late header from Weston McKennie pushed the game into extra time as Juventus aimed for a comeback.
In a pivotal moment, Osimhen found the back of the net just before the first half of extra time, restoring Galatasaray’s lead in the tie. Baris Alper Yilmaz added another with a breakaway goal, confirming Galatasaray’s advancement to the Round of 16.
