A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the sho0ting de@ths of rapper G$Lil Ronnie and his 5-year-old daughter at a Forest Hill car wash.
According to officials, Adonis Robinson was arrested by the Fort Worth intelligence unit and Texas Rangers in Livingston, Texas.
Forest Hill police confirmed Monday that a 30-year-old man and a 5-year-old girl were k!lled in the incident, which happened at Slappy’s Express Car Wash on Forest Hill Drive around 10:45 a.m.
Forest Hill Police Chief David Hernandez said Wednesday they identified 24-year-old Adonis Yeavon Robinson and 21-year-old Jakobie Dajuan Russell as suspects in the de@ths of Smith and his daughter.
The Fort Worth rapper Ronnie “LilRonnie also known as G$ Lil Ronnie, and his 5-year-old daughter, R’mani Sibley, were identified by Ronnie’s aunt as the two killed in a shooting Monday at the Slappy’s Express car wash in the 6500 block of Forest Hill Drive.
Authorities found the victim’s car with bullet holes in the windshield and performed life-saving measures on the victims, but they were both pronounced de@d at the scene, according to police.
Forest Hill PD said its preliminary investigation revealed two suspects exited a white four-door Kia, approached the victim’s car, and opened fire. The suspects were described as two Black men wearing blue jeans and grey sweaters, police said.
Police said Monday the investigation is ongoing and they’re still working to identify a motive.
“The safety of the general public is our first concern,” Forest Hill Mayor Stephanie Boardingham said Wednesday. “We are confident the employees acted quickly in this incident.”
“Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family, to our community because everyone was affected,” she added.
