Rivers State Governor Vows to Continue Development Initiatives

RIVERS STATE—Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara reaffirmed his commitment to advancing development projects throughout the state, declaring that his administration will remain focused despite political distractions.

“Politics will not derail our commitment to the people,” Fubara stated during a visit on Wednesday to inspect the ongoing rehabilitation of major roads in the old Port Harcourt Township, including renovations at the Creek Road Market.

“I have promised our people that no matter the situation, we will not lose focus on governance,” he added. “They entrusted us with leadership, and the least we owe them is confidence, stability, and the assurance that governance will continue strongly.”

The governor toured several completed and ongoing roadworks, examining rehabilitated streets around the Moore House area before concluding his inspection at the Creek Road Market.

Regarding the market redevelopment, Fubara emphasized its significance for revitalizing the old Port Harcourt Township. He noted that modernizing the facility aims to restore its former prominence and enhance commercial activities in the region.
