Nollywood Actor Yul Edochie Addresses Relationship with Estranged Wife’s Children
Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie has refuted claims of a troubled relationship with his three children from his estranged wife, May Edochie. In a recent interview on the KaaTruths podcast, Edochie emphasized that he maintains a positive relationship with his children.
Edochie explained his limited social media presence regarding his children stems from a court order related to his ongoing divorce proceedings. He stated that this restriction prohibits him from sharing posts about them.
Despite the constraints, Edochie affirmed that he remains in regular contact with his children and is committed to fulfilling his financial responsibilities. He shared that he recently spoke with one of his sons, who announced his matriculation into a university, though Edochie was unable to attend the ceremony due to a lack of timely notification.
“The reason I don’t post anything about my kids with May is not because I don’t have a good relationship with them, but because there’s a court order that says we must stop posting our kids. The fact of the matter is that I’m still in contact with my children, and I still send my son money through their mother,” Edochie said.
When questioned about honesty during his marriage, Edochie chose not to address specific issues, stating, “The main issue is not on social media. I would rather not say anything. I don’t want to say my ex-wife did this, my ex-wife did that. Real men don’t tackle issues like that. It is all family stuff; nobody is perfect.”
