Nollywood Actress Shaffy Bello Discusses Family Planning Decisions

Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello recently disclosed significant details about her decision regarding childbirth during a conversation on her YouTube channel, “Shaffy Bello TV.”

In the interview, Bello revealed that approximately 26 years ago, she underwent a medical procedure to prevent any additional pregnancies. The actress emphasized that her choice stemmed from her desire not to have a large family, despite her former husband’s wish for more children.

“My ex-husband had to beg me to have another one. I didn’t want a lot of children. I wanted to stop,” Bello stated.

She explained that the procedure involved tying her fallopian tubes through her navel, effectively halting her ability to become pregnant. “They went through my navel, went in there, did what they needed to do, and they tied it up,” she said.

Bello expressed confidence in her family planning decisions, indicating she has never felt pressure to have more children than she desired. She humorously remarked that should she become pregnant again following the procedure, she would consider it a miraculous occurrence.

“I’ve always said to myself that after tying my tubes, if I get pregnant, I will feel like Mary; it’s a holy child,” she added.
