Lisabi Wins Best Indigenous Language Film at AMVCA

Lagos, Nigeria — Lisabi, a film featuring actors Lateef Adedimeji and Mobimpe, has secured the Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa) award at the 12th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA). The ceremony took place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.

During his acceptance speech, Lateef Adedimeji dedicated the award to his wife, Mobimpe, who recently gave birth to triplets after five years of marriage. “This award is dedicated to the woman who made me chase my dream. The woman who gave me my three kings,” Adedimeji said.

This year marks the second consecutive win for Lisabi in this category, as it also received the same accolade in 2025 for Lisabi: A Legend Is Born.
