2026 World Cup: Mbappe names best two players

Kylian Mbappe Declares Messi and Ronaldo as World’s Best
French national team captain Kylian Mbappe recently identified Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the top two footballers in the world.
In a media session, Mbappe addressed comparisons among himself, Messi, Erling Haaland, and Harry Kane. “Messi is the best together with Cristiano Ronaldo,” he stated.
Mbappe demonstrated his scoring prowess in France’s opening group match, netting two goals against Senegal, while Messi delivered a remarkable hat-trick against Algeria.
“I knew that Leo Messi was going to score goals… he always scores,” Mbappe remarked.
Looking ahead, Mbappe expressed his determination to contribute to his team’s success. “I’m going to keep scoring goals to help my team go as far as possible. And of course, by scoring, I’ll get closer to the record,” he stated.
France is set to face Iraq in their next match on Monday, where Mbappe aims to propel the team into the knockout stage of the tournament.
