2027: They’ll lead you astray – Oseni Rufai advises Jonathan against contesting

Arise News Anchor Urges Former President Jonathan to Reconsider 2023 Presidential Bid
In a recent broadcast of Arise Television’s ‘Morning Show,’ anchor Oseni Rufai cautioned former President Goodluck Jonathan against pursuing a presidential run in the upcoming general election.
Speaking on Wednesday, Rufai highlighted the contradiction in the support Jonathan has received, noting that many of those encouraging him to enter the race were instrumental in his ousting from office in 2015.
“Those that are pushing you were the ones that disgraced you in 2015,” Rufai stated during the program. He added, “They used media against you and did not find you worthy back then.”
Rufai acknowledged the significant pressure on Jonathan to run but urged caution. “Please be careful. Don’t listen to them. They’ll lead you astray,” he advised.
This discussion follows recent developments in the Peoples Democratic Party, led by Taminu Turaki, which cleared Jonathan for the party’s presidential primary through a waiver.
As the political landscape evolves, the former president’s potential candidacy remains a topic of considerable debate.
