Nigerian Musician Brymo Makes Controversial Claims About 2Baba and Annie Macaulay
Nigerian singer Brymo has made allegations regarding a conversation between his colleague 2Baba and 2Baba’s wife, Annie Macaulay. Brymo claimed that during a 2019 meeting, 2Baba asked Macaulay if she had been intimate with him.
In a recent interview on the Notjustok podcast, Brymo acknowledged that he has engaged in relationships with married women and warned younger artists against pursuing such relationships, stating they could have detrimental consequences.
“I remember that moment in 2019 at Naomi’s office in Lekki Phase 1 when 2Baba looked me straight in the eyes and asked, ‘Annie, have you slept with Brymo?’,” he said. “I’ll never forget it. I’ve met many older women who claimed to be separated from their husbands. This goes to younger artists: stop sleeping with people’s wives. They will cut your life short,” Brymo added.
As of now, neither Annie Macaulay nor 2Baba has publicly responded to Brymo’s assertions.
In a previous interview earlier this year, Brymo also mentioned other female colleagues, including singer Simi and Ghanaian artist Efya, whom he had allegedly approached for sexual favors in exchange for collaboration opportunities.
