University of Jos Graduate Denies Death Rumors Amid Kidnapping

John Arum, a graduate of the University of Jos who was abducted recently, has released a video refuting ongoing rumors regarding his death in captivity.
In the footage shared on social media, Arum confirmed he is alive, stating, “Today is April 20, 2026, and I am alive.” He addressed the claims swirling online, labeling them as false.
Additionally, the kidnappers have demanded a ransom of 10 million naira for his release, stating that 6 million naira has already been paid, leaving 4 million naira outstanding. The kidnappers cautioned that any further delay could jeopardize Arum’s safety.
Concerns for the young graduate’s well-being have intensified in recent days, as disturbing images of him circulated online.
