Gov Buni meets Tinubu as speculation grows over Yobe succession

President Tinubu Meets with Yobe Governor and Police Affairs Minister

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni and Minister of Police Affairs Senator Ibrahim Gaidam on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

According to Mamman Mohammed, a media aide to Governor Buni, the discussions focused on enhancing Federal Government support for infrastructural development in Yobe State. The meeting also addressed strategies to improve security, which is deemed essential for advancing the state government’s developmental initiatives.

President Tinubu praised Governor Buni and Senator Gaidam for their dedication to the progress of Yobe State.

Observers noted that the meeting may have also served as an opportunity for Governor Buni to communicate his preferred candidate for the upcoming All Progressives Congress governorship primaries.
