Katsina police warn applicants ahead of constable recruitment exam

Katsina State Police Warns Recruitment Applicants to Avoid Fraud

The Katsina State Police Command has issued a warning to applicants for the upcoming police constable recruitment examination, urging them to adhere strictly to established procedures and to be vigilant against fraud.

Commissioner of Police Ali Umar-Fage provided the warning in a statement released Sunday by the command’s spokesperson, Abubakar Sadiq-Aliyu. He announced that the nationwide examination will take place from April 28 to April 30 at Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic, located along Dutsin-Ma Road.

Umar-Fage clarified that only candidates who successfully completed the recent physical and credential screening will be eligible to participate in the examination. He instructed applicants to access the official recruitment portal starting April 24 to print their colored examination invitation slips. These slips will include details regarding the date, time, and venue of their examination.

The commissioner emphasized the need for candidates to present a valid National Identification Number (NIN) slip from the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), which must have a clear photograph. Additionally, candidates are required to bring their printed invitation slips and a writing pen to the examination center.

The approved dress code for the examination consists of a white T-shirt, white shorts, and white canvas shoes. Umar-Fage reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge, urging applicants to remain cautious of individuals or groups attempting to solicit money for recruitment facilitation.

He warned that anyone caught engaging in fraudulent activities will face legal consequences. The commissioner also advised candidates to strictly follow the schedule indicated on their invitation slips, arrive early at their designated centers, and maintain order during the examination.

Umar-Fage encouraged all eligible applicants to comply with the provided guidelines to help ensure a smooth and transparent recruitment process.
