Police debunk viral claim alleging attack on Nafiu Bala house
Gombe Police Dispute Rumors of Arson at ADC Leader’s Residence
The Gombe State Police Command has dismissed claims that the residence of Mr. Nafiu Bala, a factional leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), was set on fire.
The rumors originated around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, sparked by social media posts that included videos of a fire purported to be at Bala’s home.
In a statement, Police Public Relations Officer DSP Buhari Abdullahi characterized the reports as false, asserting, “The Command confirms that the report is false, as no such incident has been recorded anywhere in the State.”
Commissioner of Police Umar Ahmed Chuso encouraged the public to disregard the misinformation and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to maintaining peace and security throughout Gombe State.
