Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has urged the Nigerian and Ghanaian governments to address their differences and enhance diplomatic relations. His comments follow recent xenophobic attacks targeting nationals from both countries in South Africa.
In a statement shared on his verified X account on Tuesday, Sani emphasized the importance of collaboration between Nigeria and Ghana. “The xenophobic attacks on foreigners in South Africa, particularly Nigerians and Ghanaians, should challenge the people of both countries to resolve their differences and strengthen their relations,” he stated.
Sani further remarked, “There is nothing in South Africa that is not in the two countries. In life, sometimes you need to be rejected by others in order to discover your hidden potentials, opportunities, and greatness.”
