NNL: Aluo defends Remo Stars, Beyond Limits eligibility status

Nigeria National League Chairman Defends Clubs’ Eligibility
George Aluo, chairman of the Nigeria National League (NNL), has addressed concerns regarding the participation of Remo Stars and Beyond Limits in the upcoming season. Both clubs are owned by businessman Kunle Soname, prompting fears of a potential conflict of interest due to their shared ownership.
Aluo emphasized that the ownership and management structures of the two clubs comply with the league’s regulations. “On paper, the two clubs have different ownership and management structures,” he stated in an interview with Sport Village Square.
He further clarified that sharing facilities between the clubs does not inherently violate the principles of sporting integrity. “To preserve sporting integrity, we will ensure that Remo Stars and Beyond Limits are placed in different groups,” Aluo added.
