Arsenal Looks to Jurrien Timber for Champions League Final

Arsenal legend Paul Merson has urged manager Mikel Arteta to consider including Jurrien Timber in the lineup for the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday, even if the defender is only partially fit.

The much-anticipated match will take place in Budapest, where Arsenal aims to secure a victory against PSG, managed by Luis Enrique.

Timber has been sidelined for the past two months due to a groin injury, but there are indications he may be able to return in time for the final. The 24-year-old Dutchman’s fitness will be pivotal as Arsenal seeks to claim the prestigious title.

“I think Jurrien Timber has to play,” Merson stated on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast. “There’s talk that he will be fit. I would take a chance on him because he has to play in that game.”
