Vinicius Junior Touts Spain as World Cup Contender
Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior has named Spain among the favorites to clinch the World Cup title this year.
The Brazilian player highlighted Spain’s recent success, noting their victory at the UEFA European Championship and the inclusion of promising Barcelona talent Lamine Yamal in the squad.
“Spain are among the favorites at the World Cup. They won the Euros, and they have Lamine Yamal,” Vinicius said during an interview with Cazé TV. He praised Yamal, stating, “Lamine is one of the best in the world. Fans pay to see players like him.”
Spain is set to compete in Group H of the World Cup, where they will face Saudi Arabia, Cape Verde, and Uruguay.
The last time Spain lifted the World Cup trophy was in 2010, during the tournament held in South Africa.
