UCL final: Best attack vs best defence – O’Leary predicts Arsenal vs PSG clash

Arsenal Legend Previews Champions League Final

David O’Leary, a former Arsenal player, has weighed in on the upcoming Champions League final, characterizing it as a confrontation between contrasting tactical styles.

Arsenal aims to secure a historic Double as they face off against reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday.

O’Leary described the match as a showdown between the best offensive and defensive teams in the tournament.

In an interview with Sky Sports, he stated, “I think it will be a very close game. I don’t think there’s much in it. It’s who performs on the night and who takes their chances.”

He continued, noting the significance of individual performance: “It’s going to be a chess match of the best defense in the world, with probably the best goalkeeper in the world on-form, and one of the top midfielders, Declan Rice, protecting that back four. They will face a team with the best attack in the world, capable of inflicting damage, especially on the break.”

O’Leary emphasized the need to respect PSG’s forward strength, referencing their recent match against Bayern Munich. “Both teams have a philosophy of taking each other on,” he added.
