Ogun State Governor Mourns Death of APC Zonal Woman Leader
Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has expressed his condolences following the death of Arabinrin Yetunde Shakirat Adesanya, the South-West Zonal Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He described her passing as a significant loss for both the party and the nation.
Adesanya died on Thursday evening at her residence in Lagos after a prolonged illness.
In a statement, Governor Abiodun highlighted Adesanya’s commitment to the APC and her efforts to advocate for the inclusion of women in politics and governance. He noted that she played a vital role in the growth and stability of the party, especially within the South-West region, by strengthening its women’s wing through effective mobilization and mentorship.
“Her dedication and unwavering commitment to progressive ideals earned her the respect and admiration of party members and political associates nationwide,” Abiodun stated.
The governor further expressed his sorrow over the loss, saying, “Ogun State and the APC family have lost a courageous, dependable, and highly resourceful woman whose contributions to party development and women empowerment will never be forgotten.”
Governor Abiodun extended his sympathies to Adesanya’s immediate family, the APC leadership, and party members across the South-West. He prayed for her eternal rest and for the strength of her family, friends, and political associates during this difficult time.
