ABUJA — Olayemi Cardoso, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has announced the reassignments of all four deputy governors of the institution, effective immediately.

The changes were made public on Monday night. Philip Ikeazor will now oversee the policy portfolio, previously held by Muhammad Abdullahi, who will transition to head the Corporate Services Directorate.

Emem Nnana Usoro will shift from Corporate Services to supervise operations, while Lamido Yuguda has been moved from Operations to lead the Financial System Stability Directorate.

The CBN did not provide a specific rationale for these changes. However, the bank stated that the adjustments are intended to leverage the experience of senior officials across various areas and to align with evolving institutional priorities.
