Bambam, Susan Peters phones stolen at Alex Ekubo’s service of songs

Nigerian Actress Loses Phone at Memorial Service for Late Actor
LAGOS, Nigeria — Bamike Olawunmi, known as Bambam, reported the theft of her mobile phone during a memorial service held for the late actor Alex Ekubo on Wednesday. The event took place in Lagos and was attended by numerous notable figures from the Nigerian entertainment industry, including fellow actors and social media influencers.
The service of songs was organized as a prelude to Ekubo’s burial, set for next week. Hours after the event, Bambam took to Instagram to alert her followers that her phone had been stolen from her bag. She provided updates on its last known location, stating, “I already tracked it instantly last night. Last known location was Nnamdi Azikiwe Street Lagos Island. It has not moved from there. Now it just says Lagos Island. It’s probably sold or dismantled.”
In a separate post, actress Susan Peters also reported the theft of her iPhone 16 Pro Max at the same event. She described the device as a white model equipped with an eSIM linked to her U.S. line, making it impossible to contact. Peters urged the public to help recover her phone, offering a reward for its safe return.
The actress expressed her frustration, stating, “How do people come to such an emotional event and still have the guts to steal? Even after all Papa Jerry preached yesterday? Make una fear God please return my phone I beg.”
This incident highlights growing concerns around security at high-profile events in Nigeria, particularly in light of the emotional atmosphere surrounding the memorial for the beloved actor.
