Brigadier General Dikko Commends Troops’ Commitment During Nigerian Army Day Celebration

OHAFIA, Nigeria — Brigadier General A.M. Dikko, Commander of the 14 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, recognized the steadfast dedication of his troops at a special Jumma’at prayer held to commemorate the 2026 Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL). Speaking to the assembled personnel, Dikko emphasized their vital role in maintaining peace and security in their area of responsibility and beyond.

During the event, Dikko urged the soldiers to uphold discipline, professionalism, and diligence in their constitutional duties. He highlighted that dedication, loyalty, teamwork, and adherence to the core values of the Nigerian Army are crucial for operational success.

The brigade commander encouraged the troops to support the vision of Lt. General Waidi Shaibu, Chief of Army Staff, and to uphold the highest military ethics as well as maintain operational readiness. He expressed confidence in their resilience amid evolving security challenges, affirming their commitment to preserving the honor of the Nigerian Army.

In a sermon delivered by Imam Murtala Sabi at the Central Mosque, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barracks in Ohafia, the virtues of righteousness, discipline, and reliance on Allah were underscored. Special prayers were also conducted for enduring peace, unity, and prosperity across Nigeria, as well as for the continued success of the 82 Division and 14 Brigade.

The NADCEL celebration served not just as a reflection of the army’s commitment but also as a reminder of the collective responsibility to safeguard the nation.
