‘Being bullied by my sisters made me not see women as weaker’ – Rapper, Vector

Nigerian Rapper Vector Tha Viper Discusses Impact of Siblings on Views of Women
Nigerian rapper Olanrewaju Ogunmefun David, known in the music industry as Vector Tha Viper, recently shared insights on the influence of his upbringing on his perceptions of women.
In a recent episode of the MENtality podcast, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Vector articulated his rejection of the concept of women as “weaker vessels.” He attributed this perspective to his challenging experiences growing up with his sisters, which he described as both bullying and traumatic.
“I have never in my life looked at a woman as inferior,” Vector stated. He elaborated that the behavior of his sisters had a profound effect on him, leading to what he referred to as PTSD.
“That’s why I don’t agree with the mentality of seeing a woman as weak, because I have been through torture,” he said, highlighting the depth of his experiences and the impact they have had on his views.
Vector’s comments contribute to ongoing discussions about gender perceptions and the importance of personal experiences in shaping one’s beliefs.
