Alavin Retracts Viral Video Amid Business Dispute Involving Godson

Emmanuel Jakpa, known publicly as Alavin, has issued a retraction concerning a viral video related to Uyi Godson Agho, a businessman and social media influencer better known as Godson. Alavin has urged the public to disregard the claims made in the original video.

This statement follows Godson’s denial of allegations that he defrauded fellow influencer Clement Akpobome Ogudu, known as IsokoBoy (ISB), of 100 million Naira. Godson has asserted that the situation is a business disagreement misrepresented as fraud.

In a video released on Sunday, Alavin explained that his earlier remarks from June 28, 2026, did not accurately portray the circumstances. “The content of the video is not true. I hereby make this video as a rejoinder and urge the general public to disregard the earlier video being posted online by one Mr. Richie,” he stated.

Alavin further noted that Richie’s continued distribution of the initial video was motivated by a prior conflict between Richie and Godson. “Whatever Richie is posting and saying is out of jealousy and the issue he had previously with Godson,” Alavin asserted.

He emphasized that his retraction was made voluntarily and reaffirmed his friendship with Godson. “I am not making this video under duress. We are all friends,” he added.

The clarification comes after Godson filed a petition with the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, denying the fraud allegations and framing the dispute as stemming from a clothing business valued at approximately 320 million Naira. He has alleged that IsokoBoy, Alavin, and others confronted him at his residence, recorded footage of him while undressed, and shared it online, claiming he had defrauded his business partner.
