Why I can never collaborate with some of my colleagues – Kiekie

Nigerian Content Creator Kiekie Rejects Collaborations with Vulgar Skit Makers

Nigerian content creator Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, widely known as Kiekie, has shared her reasons for refusing collaborations with certain colleagues in the entertainment industry. In a recent podcast interview, Kiekie emphasized her commitment to maintaining the integrity of her brand, stating that she would not partner with skit makers whose content she considers too vulgar.

“I would never collaborate with any skit maker that is too vulgar,” she affirmed. “My inability to collaborate with you doesn’t mean that I look down on what you do or disrespect your efforts. I recognize your hard work, but we just don’t align.”

When pressed for specific names, Kiekie did not identify any individual skit makers but expressed her awareness of various creators whose content does not resonate with her values. She specifically referenced a tendency towards explicit themes, noting, “If you’re too much breasts, bumbum—it’s not that I have a problem with it, but it’s just brand alignment.”

Kiekie’s comments underline the importance she places on brand consistency in her collaborations, suggesting that the choice of partners can significantly impact her own work and public perception.
