Afrobeats Star Davido Discusses Co-Parenting Challenges and Family Dynamics
Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, known professionally as Davido, recently shared insights on navigating the complexities of co-parenting with multiple partners. In an interview with the BBC, he addressed how his children have responded to their unique family situation.
The musician revealed that his two eldest daughters, Imade and Hailey, have expressed curiosity about their different mothers and why they do not all live together. He noted that these questions are typical for children as they begin to grasp their family structure.
Davido recounted a specific incident with his daughter Imade, who confronted him about a television appearance in which he was seen dancing with multiple women. “Daddy, I saw you on TV holding and dancing with two girls,” she told him, highlighting the impact of his public persona on his family.
Despite these challenges, Davido emphasized his commitment to being actively involved in the lives of his six children. He and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, are parents to twins and tragically lost a son, Ifeanyi.
Davido’s family includes Imade, born in 2015 to Sophia Momodu; Hailey Veronica, born in 2017 to Amanda; and Dawson, born in 2020 to model Larissa Yasmin Lorenco.
