Yoruba Actress Accuses Portable of Exploitation
Yoruba Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ashabi Simple has accused Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, of exploiting her youth. Ashabi made the allegations during an interview with Oyinmomo TV on YouTube.
When questioned about whether Portable had promised to marry her, Ashabi stated that she would not have pursued a relationship with him had he not made such a commitment. She noted that her career has flourished since meeting the singer, describing him as caring despite his controversial public persona.
Ashabi revealed that Portable has ten children and emphasized that their relationship has since ended, as she wanted to determine her own success independent of him.
In her comments, she remarked, “Portable chanced me, he saw me at my younger age and took advantage of it, and he used to be a caring person. Portable has ten children at age 32, and mine is two out of them.”
When asked if she would consider rekindling their relationship, Ashabi did not provide a definitive answer. She also mentioned her choice for a polygamous marriage, citing her demanding career as a factor that limits her availability to a partner.
