Adamawa State Opens New Cottage Hospital in Fufore
The Adamawa State Government has officially inaugurated a new cottage hospital in Fufore, one of the state’s largest local government areas. The facility, located at the local government headquarters, is approximately a 25-minute drive from the state capital, Yola.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, accompanied by other senior officials, led the commissioning ceremony on Saturday. During the event, he outlined plans to upgrade the cottage hospital into a general hospital, which aims to enhance healthcare services for residents.
Fintiri expressed satisfaction with the hospital’s construction, emphasizing the state government’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery. He noted that enhancing both tertiary and primary healthcare facilities is a priority for his administration. Moreover, he stated that the upgraded facility would provide secondary healthcare services not only to residents of Fufore but also to communities across the border with Cameroon.
