Makinde to unveil Oyo APM presidential, governorship campaign councils on Friday

OYO, Nigeria — Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, the Allied People’s Movement (APM) presidential candidate for the 2027 general election, will inaugurate the party’s Oyo State Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council on Friday. The event is set to take place in the conference room of the governor’s office.
As part of the campaign structure, Dr. Nureni Adeniran, Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), will fulfill dual roles as the Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and Director-General of the Oyo State Governorship Campaign Council.
The council will also include Saheed Arowosaye, former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, who has been appointed Deputy State Coordinator of the presidential campaign. Demola Ojo, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, will take on the position of Deputy Director-General (South).
Additionally, Dr. Femi Ojo and Alhaji Siju Lawal will serve as Deputy Directors-General for the Oyo Central and Oyo North Senatorial Districts, respectively. Ramata Agberemi Dabo has been designated as Director of the Women’s Wing, while Kazeem Bolarinwa, a former Special Assistant (Youth) to Governor Makinde, will lead the Youth Wing.
The APM indicated that more appointments to the presidential and gubernatorial campaign structure will be announced in due course as efforts to enhance the campaign machinery across the state continue.
