Peter Okoye calls out Rudeboy for shading him amid public criticism

Peter Okoye Accuses Twin Brother Rudeboy of Undermining Him

Peter Okoye, one half of the former Nigerian Afrobeats duo P-Square, has publicly accused his twin brother, Rudeboy, of exploiting current trends to undermine him. The remarks came during a response to Rudeboy’s comments regarding a recent social media post by Peter, which discussed the significance of Nigerian languages.

On Wednesday evening, Peter addressed a question from a fan that posed, “Who Naija language help?” He faced considerable backlash online for his statement, which some interpreted as controversial.

In response, Rudeboy distanced himself from his brother, declaring on social media platform X, “I’m a ‘nobody’. I repeat! A nobody! Without the culture, native language.”

Peter countered Rudeboy’s comments, stating, “But again, bro, you’re at it again, using this moment as another opportunity to pull me down. Just like I wrote in my open letter two years ago, doing everything possible to make people hate me will never work.”

He acknowledged the criticism he received but insisted that manipulating his words to damage his reputation reflects poorly on those doing so. “I don’t know why you look for every opportunity to make derisive comments or jump on the bandwagon whenever I am being attacked,” he added.

The exchange highlights ongoing tensions between the two brothers, who once formed a successful musical partnership.
