Nigerian Singer Peter Okoye Discusses Fallout with Twin Brother Paul Okoye

Nigerian musician Peter Okoye, widely known as Mr. P, has publicly addressed the rift between him and his twin brother, Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy. The singer shared his perspective in a video posted on his Instagram account on Thursday.

In the video, Peter challenged anyone, including his brother, to present evidence contradicting his account of events. He remarked, “I’ve watched lies travel farther than the truth. Today, I’m finally giving the truth a voice.”

Peter explained that he felt compelled to speak out due to ongoing speculation regarding the cause of their estrangement. He referenced a previous apology he issued on the same platform where the controversy initially erupted.

“I am going to speak my truth today. I challenge anybody, including my twin brother. Anybody can provide a video,” he stated. He expressed concern that many fans were unaware of the full story, saying, “I hear a lot of people saying, ‘What exactly happened to this guy?’ because most of you don’t even know what happened to us. But today, I am going to say it.”

The dispute between the Okoye brothers gained public attention after years of disagreements related to their music career, including management, finances, and creative control. Their elder brother, Jude Okoye, who managed the duo, was reportedly involved in some of the conflicts.

After more than a decade of collaboration as P-Square, the brothers parted ways in 2017, each pursuing solo careers. Peter adopted the stage name Mr. P, while Paul rebranded as Rudeboy.
