Nollywood actress Fathia Balogun has refuted circulating rumors regarding a conflict with fellow actress Funke Akindele.

The clarification comes in response to reports that emerged following Balogun’s birthday on February 5, during which Akindele extended her congratulations. Balogun responded to the message with a polite acknowledgment in Yoruba, stating, “Ose Iya Ibeji.”

A subsequent post by a blogger suggested that the interaction appeared tense, prompting speculation about possible discord between the actresses.

In a live video, Balogun addressed the issue directly, stating that there is no rift between her and Akindele. She criticized bloggers for misrepresenting the situation and urged them to refrain from meddling in her personal and professional relationships.

“I am not at war with Funke Akindele. There is no bad blood between us,” Balogun asserted. She emphasized that Akindele’s birthday message was sincere and that her own response had been misinterpreted.

In the past, the two actresses have faced minor controversies, including claims that Akindele unfollowed and blocked Balogun on social media due to disagreements over event attendance.

“I am asking bloggers to stop interfering in my personal and professional relationships. There is no reason to spread false stories,” Balogun added.
