‘Tope Osoba didn’t die of cancer’ – Family breaks silence

Family of Nollywood Actress Tope Osoba Denies Death Reports
The family of Nollywood actress Tope Osoba has officially dismissed recent reports regarding her death.
According to the DAILY POST, Osoba passed away on Tuesday evening shortly after communicating with colleagues and updating her WhatsApp status with the phrase “Ogo Tuntun,” which translates to “new glory.” This update occurred at approximately 7:23 p.m.
The actress’s passing comes nearly two years after she publicly sought financial assistance for surgery and treatment related to breast cancer. Initial reports suggested that her death was connected to this ongoing battle with cancer.
However, in a statement released on the actress’s Instagram page on Thursday, her family stated that she did not die from cancer. They did not specify the cause of her sudden death.
“We are deeply saddened by the spread of false and unverified reports concerning the passing of our beloved,” the statement read. “At this difficult time, we wish to categorically state that the numerous claims circulating on social media and various blogs regarding the circumstances surrounding her death are false, speculative, and entirely unauthorized.”
The family urged the public to refrain from disseminating misinformation, which they say exacerbates their grief. They indicated that further updates will be shared on Osoba’s official social media channels.
