How I was chased from stage because of P-Square – Flavour

Nigerian artist Chinedu Okoli, widely known as Flavour Nabania, recently shared a challenging experience from his early career involving the popular music duo P-Square.

In a podcast interview, Flavour recounted a performance when a club manager abruptly asked him to leave the stage for P-Square, who had arrived halfway through his set.

He described the overwhelming reception the duo received from the audience, which made him question the disparity in their popularity despite performing similar music.

Flavour explained he chose not to allow this public humiliation to deter him. Instead, he viewed the incident as motivation to improve his craft and remained committed to his music career.

“I was performing one time when P-Square came in, and the manager told me to leave the stage immediately,” he recalled. “I turned off my mic and sat down. The moment Paul of P-Square picked up the mic and started singing ‘Temptation,’ the crowd went wild.”

He continued, “I wondered if we were all doing the same music because I had been performing there, and the crowd had never reacted that way to me. I didn’t let the experience discourage me. Instead, I took it as motivation to work harder, and now we are here.”
