Anambra Governor Congratulates Former Governors on Their Birthdays
Anambra State Governor Professor Chukwuma Soludo extended birthday greetings to former governors Willie Obiano and Dr. Chris Ngige, who celebrate their birthdays on August 8. Obiano marks his 71st birthday, while Ngige turns 74 on Saturday.
In a statement, Soludo highlighted the significant contributions both men have made to the development of the state. Addressing Obiano, he called him a “worthy son of Anambra,” acknowledging his eight years in office as instrumental in the state’s progress. Soludo praised Obiano for his substantial investments in infrastructure and his commitment to the developmental needs of the state.
“I wish former Governor Willie Obiano a happy birthday today, with prayers for his sustained good health, joy, and many more years of a fulfilled life,” Soludo added.
Regarding Ngige, who also served as a senator for Anambra Central District and as Minister of Labour and Employment, Soludo noted his impact during a formative period in the state’s political landscape. He commended Ngige’s focus on discipline in public administration and his dedication to infrastructural advancement.
Christian Aburime, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Soludo, relayed Soludo’s appreciation for Ngige’s service at both the state and national levels, stating, “The Governor celebrates with Dr. Chris Ngige as he marks another birthday, wishing him a memorable celebration with robust health, continued wisdom, and God’s abundant blessings in the years ahead.”
